Young man arrested for commenting on police Facebook page
Police have arrested a young man from Chittagong for making 'offensive' comments on the police's Facebook page. Mahfuzul Karim, 35, was arrested from Gachbaria Khanhat area of Chandnaish upazila in Chittagong on Sunday night (September 12).
Mahfuzul is the son of Fazal Karim of Talukdar house in Gachbaria area. He has a gas cylinder shop in the area.
Chandnaish Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin Sarkar said Mahfuzul made offensive remarks against the police and the government on Facebook page. He was arrested Sunday night in connection with the incident. A case has been filed against him under the Digital Security Act. Arrested in the case was taken to court this afternoon.
